How should I word an event?

Write it so it reads after “since” or “until”: we adopted Biscuit becomes “123 months since we adopted Biscuit,” and the Iceland trip becomes “100 days until the Iceland trip.”

Why did a milestone land a day off?

Milestones counted in seconds, minutes, or hours depend on the time of day. Without one, the app assumes noon. Turn on “I know the time” when editing the event for exact dates.

How do I get a different set of milestones?

On the Year tab, tap Shuffle for a new mix, or swipe a milestone and choose Hide to swap in the next best one. Options sets how many surprises each event gets and how far apart they are.

My events aren’t showing up on my other devices.

Make sure each device is signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on. Options → iCloud shows whether the app is syncing. Changes can take a minute to arrive.

Can I bring in birthdays from my calendar?

Yes. Export your calendar as an .ics file, then choose ⋯ → Import Calendar File on the Events tab. You can review everything before it’s added.
